Two weeks ago I read that a negative thought can linger in our minds for up to 24 hours, while a positive one lasts only about 8 - and so aiming for a 3:1 minimum ratio helps rewire. Sort of the grounds of meditation, but numerically.
Since then, a friend and I have been sharing our three positives of the day almost every night, whether big or small.
Simple, but meaningful π
What are your three positives today?

My dogs when i Wake up . Smiling with my wife drinking coffee in the morning . When i feed my fish ππ
Wonderful Mickey!!! Can't put a price in any of those. It's the day to day things that shouldn't be taken for granted!
The fish bit caught me off guard I won't lie hahaha π
Say hi to wifey!!
Today I woke up π₯³ I've gotten to do a peaceful morning routine while my puppy is still sleepy π₯³ and I'm about to make some coffee π₯³
Little positive things still count. But I have faith the day will bring me even more π₯°
coffee~! ^.^
It's a must π
Couldnβt agree more! Appreciating the small joys helps us notixe beauty π Without the small things, big moments often feel fleeting π«
How was the coffee? Here for any more daily updates! π₯°
Coffee was good! The day is rolling along. Trying not to let myself get stressed π₯°
Love this! I try to take the time to notice beautiful moments. My phone is full of pictures of flowers, or a tree with the backdrop of a pretty cloud, a cat sleeping on the sidewalk, etc.
But persistent negative thoughts are often the result of negative subconscious beliefs and require some deep, intentional, re-wiring.
That's lovely! Being able to appreciate the little things is actually a skill.
Yes totally agreed, this little practice wouldn't be much when struggling with deeply rooted negative conditioning.
1. i have another opportunity to serve my Wife
2. coffee
3. fren meeting later today :3
I love this! How was the meeting? π
ty~!
will happen soon ^.^
This is one of the most powerful things you can do right now.

1. Our missing trash can magically reappeared on the street, and was empty.
2. I have good reception to an FM station that plays tunes mostly from the early sixties.
3. Our landlord brought us home made cookies.
As an aside, one method I used (amongst several others) for getting out of ~30 years of depression, was to list a minimum of 10 things I'm grateful for every day. I did my best to not repeat an item from the day before, in order to stretch the neuronic pathways to more areas of life/perception/reality.
Nice! I try to do a list of grateful things in my head for a few mins when I first wake up. Definitely has helped get rid of stressful and negative thoughts
Oh my god the missing trash can happened to me where I used to live many many years ago, and I was flabbergasted when it reappeared! Hahaha
That's a lovely landlord π
Wonderful exercise! I'd definitely struggle with not repeating in a long list, so I'll give it a go! looking forward to what might come up. Thanks for sharing your experience β¨ you've done amazing

1. My cat spent time with me
2. Found a new place to live
3. Will have "me-time" without kids dogs or anyone for 45 minutes later today.

That alone time can be so great! Enjoy!
1. I saw crazy pink sunset, sort of sky divided in two as if Moses went up to the sky.
2. Puzzles π
Woah! I'm trying to picture it but I bet anything I can imagine won't do justice to what you saw!
π§©
