Two weeks ago I read that a negative thought can linger in our minds for up to 24 hours, while a positive one lasts only about 8 - and so aiming for a 3:1 minimum ratio helps rewire. Sort of the grounds of meditation, but numerically. Since then, a friend and I have been sharing our three positives of the day almost every night, whether big or small. Simple, but meaningful πŸ’œ What are your three positives today? #asknostr

Love this! I try to take the time to notice beautiful moments. My phone is full of pictures of flowers, or a tree with the backdrop of a pretty cloud, a cat sleeping on the sidewalk, etc. But persistent negative thoughts are often the result of negative subconscious beliefs and require some deep, intentional, re-wiring.
This is one of the most powerful things you can do right now.

1. Our missing trash can magically reappeared on the street, and was empty. 2. I have good reception to an FM station that plays tunes mostly from the early sixties. 3. Our landlord brought us home made cookies. As an aside, one method I used (amongst several others) for getting out of ~30 years of depression, was to list a minimum of 10 things I'm grateful for every day. I did my best to not repeat an item from the day before, in order to stretch the neuronic pathways to more areas of life/perception/reality.
Oh my god the missing trash can happened to me where I used to live many many years ago, and I was flabbergasted when it reappeared! Hahaha That's a lovely landlord πŸ’œ Wonderful exercise! I'd definitely struggle with not repeating in a long list, so I'll give it a go! looking forward to what might come up. Thanks for sharing your experience ✨ you've done amazing
