School is the opposite of what humans need to reach their full potential. #School teaches more through its structure than its content: • Sit still • Don’t question • Wait for permission • Follow instructions • Obey authority • Don’t take risks This conditioning stays far longer than any algebra formulas. And exactly this is the problem! #Unschooling/#homeschooling/#worldschooling, by contrast, teaches: • Self-direction • Problem-finding • Intrinsic motivation • Resourcefulness • Self-respect • Agency One prepares you for managing yourself. The other prepares you for being managed. Set your kids free and follow me into the unschooling rabbit hole ♥️ https://fountain.fm/show/0cjwJbTn6z3lPXNX8ISg image
Like many parents, I've had moments of wondering if I'm failing my #kid. I went through that same process when I began questioning the traditional school system. Initially, I worried about how school might fail my #child, but then I started to consider if not following the traditional route of #education would lead to failure on my part. Taking the full responsibility for your kids' education can be scary, absolutely. But the more I let go and reflect on our fears, the more I realized - hey, nothing to be afraid of, the biggest thread to my kid is already out the way: traditional schooling. In this episode, I'm talking to the founder of The Hub, Luba Vangelova, about the depths of this fear of failing our kids, and how to escape that fearful cycle and head into a future full of trust. Luba is an #unschooling mum herself, she shares a lot about her perspective on unschooling, and of course she introduces us to The Hub, a unique learning-cohort programs for unschooled/homeschooled tweens and teens! image

If Neil Armstrong was first on the Moon, who was holding the camera? Why do hospital meals suck so bad and cost so much when good nutrition is exactly what sick people need? Why weren't we taught about the Rhine Meadows Camps in school history lessons? Why did 56 countries sign a treaty banning exploration in Antarctica? Why do official NASA Earth photos show continents in wildly different sizes and proportions over the years? Why is 95% of our DNA labeled "junk" and who decided that? How did people living in huts, riding horse carts, with no machines or lasers, build those massive, perfectly symmetrical cathedrals and government buildings? Why does the same ancient, pre-flood-style architecture pop up all over the world? Why are mushrooms all over ancient Christian artwork? #unschooling #homeschooling #worldschooling image
