Gentlemen if I could give you one piece of cliche advice it would be this… Seriously vet the woman you are going to marry. Because it will either make you or break you. Looking back on my bitcoin journey my wife was the undisputed greatest investment I ever made. Mrs. Hodl - was cool with us living off her income while I threw all my income into magic internet coins - lived a meager lifestyle alongside me when we were first married - said yes to a cheap backyard wedding vs. a fancy expensive one - was cool with a fake diamond as her wedding ring - defended my β€œextreme” behavior to her family/co-workers - believed in and trusted my vision - was not embarrassed by me riding a moped or any of the other weird shit I did lol - never nagged me about hodling or asked me to sell bitcoin. Nope. She was always down to ride from day one. Not sure I would have been successful with a different woman by my side. Choose the right one guys, it matters a lot.

πŸ’― . Its super important to vet your partner in difficult situations. Fights, how they treat service, kids, people that upset them, animals…. It’s not a cliche. my marriage was before btc, but when she got it and hears that btc is down in fiat terms she always says β€œbuy more β€œ if I use it for something β€œwhy didn’t you use that fiat shitcoin?”
Choosing the right partner is the highest and best use of anything you will do in life. Your children will posses 50% of her genes. My wife has consistently pushed me to grow and increase my market value by believing in me when I question myself. @HODL and I both had brilliant wives who helped us lever up our seed corn position. We always lived off one of our salaries and invested the other. Since she is a PHD geneticist she had a great head start. Since I have delusional confidence and sales skills I have found a way to catch up and pass on occasions. When I discovered Bitcoin my wife implored a stay humble stack sats ethos before it became the norm. She pushed me to go deeper down the rabbit hole and trusted me with a larger position of our net worth than most people could have wrapped their head around. The only question she asked consistently was have you changed your mind or should we grow the position. View quoted note β†’
Find a woman who will respect you even when you're at your lowest point. This is how a good wife can bring you to the next level. Respect is what gets you to become a better man, a better father, a better worker and earner. The women that demand that you earn their respect is one you don't want to get involved with, because that's almost always going to be a moving goalpost. It's also a significant divorce risk as the lack of respect is contempt, one of the biggest predictors. View quoted note β†’
Not only that my friend, your kids need to take after and be raised by a strong solid foundation to become a rebel, critical thinking, freedom fighter of the next generation alongside other STRONG minded kids all over the world. ⚑️πŸ’ͺ✌️
I lost a million sats in a scam 5 years ago, due to my own ego. Admitted to it immediately and my wife told me to go back and stack sats. That was equivalent to our entire stack at the time. She could have easily told me to stop and go back to fiat but she knew I was onto something bigger. She even told me not to fall for the scam and I did anyway like a dumbass.
Great advice. I know because I really screwed up the first time around but thankfully I was still broke back then. Marriage is the pinnacle of team sports, but there is no optimum strategy except trying your best every day. The reward is your family, the championship is your family's family.
She reminds me of me. πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‡πŸ˜Ž My husband did a lot of vetting before he found and chose me! I remember when my husband got into bitcoin after about 1 month of marriage, I came home from work and he seemed a bit nervous as he didn't know how I would react when he wanted to invest in crypto mining equipment that would pay in bitcoin, but he was met with support and understanding. I got it, and I agreed. I didn't need more convincing. I wasn't a pushover, I was on board 😎
The best book ever written on this topic. image

Yes it’s literally the most important decision any man will make. And to add my own little bit of advice: do NOT take things slow. I’m not talking physically. You need to be grilling these women with important questions that most men don’t find out until after marriage and it either creates a depressing life or divorce. Religion, values, morals, goals, financial views, politics, family, do you want kids, how many, are we going to vaccinate them, are you going to cave from other moms pressuring you. Probably should be asking her family similar questions as well.
Got ya a keeper, brother. Salute! Banger post. It's funny, as my younger self would've actually laughed at the awkwardness of the statement, but I start to look at all relationships like how you would a business deal. Would you want to partner with someone in business that is shady, bad history, in debt, known to lie or falsify information? Of course not, we can look at some of those questions, but modified slightly in the sense of a romantic, long-term relationship aka marriage. Any red flags you'd spot in a new potential business deal would prevent you from moving forward, but do they in a modern relationship? Usually, no. We settle and become complacent largely due to convenience and proximity. Stay up, mi bruddas (and sistas)!
Damn I’ve been here. During the CCP Virus lockdowns, I was laid off, and THEN got appendicitis and was bed ridden while we had a 2 year old girl and another on the way. SHE floated the family on her investments. She didn’t slit my throat when I was learning to throat sing and basically gurgling weird noises all day every day for 3 months straight until I got it down. You get a lot of (deserved) criticism of entitled feminist narcissist bitches, but not enough praise for good women like this. #marriage #women #feminism #wife #relationships #love View quoted note β†’
Thanks for sharing, Rachel! I couldn’t agree more. Without a doubt, choosing your children's parent is the most significant decision you'll ever make.
