Do the work. Read the code. Think for yourself. Stop the ad-hominem attacks.
Existing spammers won’t move to using OP_RETURN to pay 4x what they pay now. We need to filter out what they are already doing (which is the battle Knots is taking on). New spammers who aren’t fee-sensitive and want their spam “officially” allowed will use OP_RETURN so they don’t need to pay extra to miners to bypass node filters. Spammers of horrific content who don’t want to go directly to miners and risk being identified will relay their spam via v30 nodes to stay anonymous.
This isn’t rocket-science. You don’t need to be technical to understand the potential downsides of v30. If you do happen to be technical, then look at the filters in the Knots policy code - it’s not complicated and Core should adopt it instead of making spamming easier in v30.

There's a really cool experiment you can do in a classroom. Fill up a jar with pennies, then have students write their guess for how much is in the jar. Take all the guesses and average them. Most individual guess will be way off, but the average will be very close to truth.
If a community is changing preferences, that is a very good indication that the truth of the situation has changed, regardless of each individual's estimations.
I really appreciate the clear, concise information you post. It seriously helps those of us “non tech” folks understand so much about Bitcoin.

- Clowns who immediately start running shitcoin core V30 (aka malware)
- Simpfluencers who talk about all of the trending things happening in bitcoin but never talk about core vs knots debate
-Simpfluencers who are pro malware and do everything possible to prove that malware is better than @npub13rhy...cgea
-Simpfluencers who subtly support malware so, they don't get the heat from 80IQ plebs (e.g. @ODELL, @Marty Bent)
-Shitcoin Core devs who actually put us in this position
-Spammers
-Spam apologists
-Fake bitcoiners who attacked hardworking noderunners in the past
YOU SHOULD BE TREATING ALL OF THESE CLOWNS AS A GLOBALISTS OR CENTRAL PLANNERS OF BITCOIN PERIOD
