You can choose to be unnecessarily offended by this statement, or you can realize that one of the biggest differences of Nostr is the user-centric economic dynamics created by the protocol’s design. The incentives here for users/consumers, artists/creators, businesses, and app developers are different than legacy social media. That’s why so many are here in the first place. Zaps are crucial to nostr’s future. Getting offended just means you’re probably a cheap ass and don’t like feeling called out.

I agree and disagree at the same time. I was afraid of responding to the earlier note for fear of giving offense. I just value a conversation way way way more than the sats, even though I agree that zapping the main value than can revolutionize both communication and... artistry. Is that the right word? "Content" is a dumb word, but that.
Basically, I'm not interacting with people out of a desire for zaps, but I'll use zapping to encourage people to converse.
