vertical line will be better
I like this lower case b for sats more. The bar going down would make more sense, I think, and probably faster to write
The Thai Baht ฿ was originally used as the Bitcoin symbol until ₿ was added to Unicode.
We can repeat a similar process, temporarily appropriating ƀ until Unicode adds a lowercase b with a vertical stroke.
