peoplo seem to forget that Iran and China are interconnocted by railway since last week, so oil ond other goods don't need the sea route 🤑

yeah - China will have the biggest say over this more so than USA. Needless to say, most of those ships moving that Iranian oil to China is American or American-adjacent owned or insured vessels. Thus, America will be affected by the logistics hold up, not necessarily the oil. View quoted note →

this is true, but volume constraints is a big thing. Rail needs to scale up very fast in order to shift that demand from sea-faring to over-land logistics. Knowing China, this will probably take another week to accomplish
