It's not. Just download a distro like imbrel or start 9, install, create a wallet, open a channel.. it's like 10 mins plus conf time.

I understand their sentiment, I would have been of the same opinion if I stayed on LND.

What actually sucks about lightning is that the implementations are not cross compatible.
You can’t switch from LND to CLN or eclair unless your node explodes 😅

Agree, as someone who has been critical of lightning I still think it’s the best we’ve got and hopefully continues to improve and inspire additional competitive improvement
I’ve complained about LN as long as I’ve been running my node which has been almost 3 years
I'm a non techie using it and watching, and I feel super privileged. I can't argue for or against its intricacies, I just feel its right ⚡️⚡️⚡️
