Also don't forget that it was mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, CEO of Pornhub, etc. that actually pushed for and wrote these laws. Texas already has the strictest internet censorship in the world before UK started implementating it.

My current thinking is access to the free and open internet will become ever more difficult. Are Nostr Devs preparing for this? Sure people can run Graphene on certain Android phones but even that looks like it’s becoming increasingly difficult. At this point I’m essentially hoping I can keep up with tech just enough to stay one step ahead…
Governments can censor most relays (they even have multiple options! DNS censorship, IP censorship, a combination of both, and even more shit) and arrest relay operators. Nostr is not immune to governmental censorship, only to corporate censorship. It is a worthwhile goal on its own, but it's not the same thing. Governments becoming more authoritarian is not a win for Nostr, at all.
The problem of governmental censorship does not have technical solutions, if not partial. It cannot. The reason is that freedom of speech includes the right to publicly associate a statement with your identity. If the government forbids that statement, it can arrest you. This isn't to say the problem cannot be addressed. It may, through political means. Technical development is part of what's needed, but it isn't all that is needed.
hahahahaha!!!! lol Science has found that the sphincter wrinkles are better then fingerprints. So bend over and scan sphincter here 3 times for proper verification and protection of children. Then Align you "GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID.". for confirmation.... 🌈 🤡 Oh yah then Canada will say... OH WHAT A GREAT IDEA!!!! THANKS UK. You really care about the children.
