In the last 72hrs over 1,000,000+ users have downloaded the app UpScrolled and they didn’t download Primal? I’d love to hear your opinion on this massive marketing failure. Primal = No view counter, zero engagement for new users, zero reason to stay and continue posting on this platform. No one wants to talk to themselves.

As long as it remains centralized, I’m not interested. Free speech will only be truly free if you align with the platform’s values, and we’ve seen this happen many times on social media. So, if this platform really becomes a serious competitor (which I doubt for now), they’ll likely restrict some content as well. I think Nostr / Primal won’t achieve global adoption because normies want an easy login with email and password and don’t care about true ownership of their content, just because they don’t see its significance.
Upscrolled will probably be dead soon and @primal will still be here. They just keep plugging along making nostr better and better. Every time I see a video of the primal staff they seem happy. Seems like winning to me.
we didn't capitalize on the various times we've had momentum. it'll swing around again, but it's hard to manufacture it. some tweaks in the app will help bigtime. will be interesting to see if you're still posting on upscrolled in a couple months or if it's just a hypewave. it's literally just another trust me bro freespeech app with a ceo that people are aligned with. would be rad if they built this on nostr without saying it.
