Whilst there is some truth to that statement, I would argue that it assumes that there is only one "They" and that they have total control over everything. If this is actually true then there is no exit and nothing we do actually matters. It is far more likely that there are different factions of "They" and some of them are less against us than others or some of us are actually fighting back against "Them" An increasing percentage of "Us" are widening the Overton window by discussing such matters, and some of those conversations enable us to talk about exiting the system and perhaps even putting an end to "Them". In many ways, the Q anon phenomenon was a similar situation - how many people found themselves looking into things they never would have done otherwise and found their way to Bitcoin and Nostr in the process? The world is a stage and we are merely players, but spending some time reading the script does improve our performance!

you don't need "exit" if you can hold people accountable, which requires being informed. and it's not a zero-sum game, you can build exits, while staying informed, and in fact, build better exits because you are informed.
