🌍⚔️ INTRODUCING NOSTRWARS - THE GLOBAL CONQUEST BEGINS NOW ⚔️🌍 I've been building something and need your help testing it out. Nostrwars is a real-time strategy MMORPG where the entire world is up for grabs. THE GAME: Sign in with your Nostr npub - claim FREE land Set your empire's production: economy vs military - Economy → population growth (compounds every Bitcoin block!) - Military → defend your territory & conquer adjacent squares Bitcoin block hashes randomly trigger recessions, normal markets, or economic BOOMS THE STAKES: The player controlling the most territory at block 920999 wins 5000 sats 💰 (Or everyone gets sats if my code explodes before then 😅) It's a pretty basic game. As you grow the population of your square you can invade neighboring squares to begin your conquest of the world. Claim a full geohash to yourself and receive a bonus to your population expanse.

Launched a couple of attacks on a neighbouring square last night and lost troops. Overnight I set it to 80% Butter so that I could defend enough. Now I have enough troops to attack again, the system isn't showing the results (everything up to the submit attack button seems ok) Seems to be only growth reports in the Recent Activity board...

Concept is great. Practical feedback: I'm having a hard time figuring the system out, not sure if this is because I'm on Firefox, UI/UX issue, network latency, or I'm just dense (likely). For example, It shows in the R side bar "10 players" but I am not listed among them? Additionally, I can not see who has what territory. image Picbelow is what I saw for quite a long time; eventually (~10 min?) it updated to the colored blocks as shown)

Each Bitcoin block you'll be rewarded with new citizens to either be a part of your population or a part of the military based on the % you apply in the allocation. The # of people you get at that block is tied to your population of the block so the more people you build up the more you get each round on future bitcoin blocks.

🌍⚔️ NostrWars Round 1 has concluded! ⚔️🌍 The first round of NostrWars games has concluded. @Lunapilot has conquered the most land and won 5,000 sats! They led the game by a large margin but there were a number of players that have picked up quite a few squares over the course of the map in recent days. I have to thank all the rest of you for playing along! We've found a number of bugs throughout the first round that we've worked to fix throughout the round and others that we'll be fixing for Round 2. Expect Round 2 on an upcoming block that will be announced in advance! Round 2 will be launched by a new npub dedicated to the game. This npub will also be issuing new badges for participating in this testing round and other future rounds and achievements. View quoted note →
