At his talk “An Introduction to Law and #FreeSoftware”, our colleague Gabriel Ku Wei Lin highlighted a case by @Civio: a Spanish Supreme Court ruling that provides a legal precedent that underlines the importance of transparency in source code and algorithms, and support for the Freedom to Study. Today, the @European Commission opened a process under the #DMA to regulate how #Google handles #interoperability within #Android The :fsfe: FSFE has been working intensively over the last two years to improve DMA interoperability against gatekeepers like #Apple and Google. We will monitor how the Commission implements the interoperability rules further, ensuring DMA enforcement is Free Software-friendly.
