Denmark’s Foreign Ministry has summoned U.S. Ambassador to Denmark Ken Howery to seek clarification over remarks made over the weekend by President Donald J. Trump’s newly appointed Special Envoy to Greenland, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry, who said his part-time role is aimed at making Greenland part of the United States. Trump’s decision to appoint Landry without consulting Denmark, along with comments made by the president today, has reignited tensions between the two allies, amid what Danish officials view as increasingly aggressive—if not belligerent—behavior by the Trump administration regarding Greenland.

During today’s announcement of the Trump-class battleship, President Donald J. Trump said the ships would be equipped with hypersonic weapons, advanced electric railguns, high-powered lasers, and nuclear-armed sea-launched cruise missiles, likely similar to the Tomahawk Land Attack Missile–Nuclear (TLAM-N), which was retired from service after 2010.

According to reports, Egypt reached an agreement with China in June 2025 to purchase 10 WJ-700 drones for $400 million. The WJ-700 is a jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicle developed by the China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC). It has a top speed of about 700 km/h, an endurance of up to 20 hours, and can carry a weapons payload of up to 800 kg.

Tehran police said citywide traffic restrictions based on license plate numbers will be enforced on Tuesday and Wednesday due to severe air pollution. Under the measure, vehicles with license plates ending in odd numbers will be allowed to drive on one day, while those ending in even numbers may drive on the other. The restrictions will be enforced across the entire city, including residential areas, with the aim of reducing traffic and lowering pollution levels.
