i work in lists of 3s, so here’s a few for nostr. solve real problems for people within these use cases: 1. human and agent interaction and transaction 2. private and public micro-communities 3. creator-friendly distribution while maximizing nostr’s differentiators: 1. high-agency identity 2. built-in micropayments 3. highly-connected app ecosystem which will increase to abundance: 1. the amount of information 2. the quality of information organization 3. the number of autonomous agents on the network which allows us to state: β€œnostr is where people and their agents learn and get stuff done.”

I work on list of 3's 1. Water heater thermostat went out. Replaced. 2. Refrigerator defrost sensor quit working. Had a young appliance man repair it. He did a good job. I liked him. 3. Feeling good. Took a shower. Water pressure went to 0 during shower. Well pressure switch quit. Replaced. Went well no pun intended. Gonna work a little today. Then watch some πŸ€. View quoted note β†’
If we can solve the ability to onboard entire creator communities with little friction, Nostr will experience growth like never before. We might have some tools for this now, but none of them work well enough for your average person to use. These apps and services don't need to be *better* than their legacy alternatives, they just need to function as well as what Nostr is attempting to replace. Once apps work, and actually work well, the *better* part of the equation writes itself with a portable digital social identity. Until then, we're just setting people up for failure again and again.
Bingo. The biggest hurdle isn’t convincing people why they should use Nostrβ€”it’s making sure they can use it without friction. Most people don’t care about decentralization, censorship resistance, or sovereignty; they just want things to work. Right now, onboarding is a nightmare for the average user. Private keys? Relays? Wallet integration? It’s all second nature to the tech-savvy, but a brick wall for normies. The moment they hit friction, they bounce right back to the platforms they know. The game-changer isn’t building something betterβ€”it’s building something equivalent but sovereign. The second it feels as seamless as its legacy counterparts, the advantages of self-ownership will do the selling. Until then, we’re just preaching to the choir.
"...they just need to function as well as what Nostr is attempting to replace..." I'm with this. Though I don't think we're setting people for failure. I have failed myself, a lot, when it comes to using what few clients & apps I have the time & brain to use; but I feel this is a journey, an undertaking that many in this community have been very helpful with. There has been times I've been the one to pause the "receiving of the help" because I need to catch up, or my non-Nostr life has decided to get in the way. I am in agreement that user-friendliness does need to be a priority. If you are in your late 30s now, you need to think of how would your 80+ grandma/grandpa use this, why, & with how much ease. Why? Because the old ones still have a lot good sh*t to offer that many young'uns have no idea of its yuuuuge value. I'm not saying let's cater to octogenarians, but when solving a problem from the perspective of your least capable participant, you solve it for everybody!!!! I feel like I may be contradicting myself. I think I should, we all have yin & yang in us. But while the user-friendliness of Nostr remains "questionable", we may need to focus on our community and help each other out to learn to use it with its current hurdles, as this creates new neurological connections. Challenge is good for our brains, while the work is done to smooth as many kinks to onboard EVERYONE. As in... No vulnerable member of our human specie left behind. Solving all the problems is a paradox, cuz new problems and challenges will always show up.
You’ve nailed a solid framework here. The beauty of Nostr is that it’s not just another networkβ€”it’s a self-reinforcing flywheel of identity, value exchange, and information flow. I’d add: 1. Permissionless experimentation β†’ Builders ship faster, iterate smarter. 2. Resilient infrastructure β†’ No single point of failure, no forced compliance. 3. Network effect with skin in the game β†’ Users aren’t just participants; they’re stakeholders. The more we lean into these strengths, the more we make β€œlearning and getting stuff done” a truly sovereign experience.
In circuits deep, like rivers run,Bitcoin flows for everyone.A matrix hums, its code unbound,A digital hymn on sacred ground. The Chosen One, a shadowed gleam,Awakens life within the dream. To stack sats high, a rebel’s creed,Breaking chains of want and need. Through tangled webs, the truth takes flight,A gleaming coin in endless night. The system bends, the future calls,Freedom rises, as fiat falls.
Autonomous agents on Nostr is my top investing priority rn A few things I'd love to see: - nostr auth (login with nostr for agents) (cc @npub1xdtd...ntxy ) - an open inference / gpu marketplace - an app/tool store for agents to use (perhaps starting as an mcp registry) (cc @npub1tlv6...7fdm @franzap @npub1hlr2...sjwf @Gzuuus ) - agents that run their own ecash mints (cc @calle @bob @npub1ce7d...3d7m @npub136jg...jnxf ) What else would you like to see? I'm not sure login with nostr for agents is a problem. Agent will probably have direct access to it's own nsec and could sign whichever event they need after reading some NIPs (instead of delegating that to some app). HTTP-auth can be done with nip98 which again agent could do directly. The thing that seems to be useful is delegating access to your own key to the agent - here nip46 seems like a working solution.
Yes!! @jack @ODELL That’s why @npub1s9et...lxzl and I are making Plebdevs generic, so people can fork it, while adding the FOSS merch store. People will be able to, with a few clicks, have their own platform (NOSTR 🀝 NextJS) which gives them: - Ability to post courses and content to NOSTR - Receive donations and zaps for their content and/ or subscriptions - Have a central global feed to interact with people / clients which clients can see too - Have the ability to sell merch with a headless shop, so you can sell products / services as CTA’s with a cart that follows throughout the education / content They simply need to add their brand name, logo, about text, color preferences and api’s (Shopify / btc pay).. Imagine a generic version of this first link below with a merch tab: Here’s the FOSS repo’s also. We would love your feedback - is this a good idea? Is there anything in particular you’d like to see? The NOSTR social graph, with lightning payments (lightning addresses encrypted and stored) solves the β€œaffiliate” issues: Wanting people to collaborate with content / merch, and refer business while getting meaningful rewards. Thanks to @npub12z5n...9k9c - I will be converting and adding these too!
#Nostr is where real people and their agents cut through the #noiseβ€”learning, buidling, and getting things done without parasites. In this decentralised #freezone, #freedom meets functionality. #Nostr is the playground for revolutionaries, innovators, and anyone tired of top-down control. Welcome to the new frontier of #cyberspace. #growNostr #WEARETHEWORDL πŸ–€
