USA is the land of the free
Can you imagine how long they would give Satoshi if they hadn't kept their identity hidden?
Heβs probably still locked up

They'd likely kill him for making BTC universal. I know a thing or two about how these harlot tare beasts in Rome work.
Its disgusting. Im disheartened by this.
Developing software is not a crime. 1 day in court for developing software is utter horseshit
The powers that be will never allow to be challenged. Whether the defiant is a political whistleblower, a software dev or a blacksmith is irrelevant for them. The message is clear: you challenge the system, you are taken down.
That's why we need 1000s of samurais. The system must be overwhelmed.
This is why Satoshi disappeared.
Yep, not a good ruling.
Its evidence of a failed system.
There is a massive disconnect with technology in general and the decrepit politicians, judges, and people put in place to help "regulate" this types of issues. Sad day for humanity, but this will never stop open-source development.
And that's a ruling in the US, imagine what it would have been in europe

The law system is utterly lawless
Wonder if bitcoiners will band together to cover his $250K fine after he gets out.

Amazing sofware
Code is speech.
Governments are the enemy of the freedom of speech, despite laws that ostensibly protect free speech.
