My general disgust is at a all-time high at the moment. This is why I disengaged from politics and started focusing on my immediate community and what I can control around me and try not to worry about what the shitbags on top are doing. This is why I very strongly believe in opting out and creating a parallel system that doesn't require interaction with the government or at least as little interaction as humanly possible. That's why I'm grateful for things like Bitcoin and nostr that at least attempt to do this. Within these ecosystems, it's at least a space where we can float these ideas without being ridiculed. So I know it's probably just a holiday shipping fuck up, but it's really frustrating when I'm trying to get an update on a package that hasn't been updated since the 16th, and they request some blood, a picture of my asshole, hair of my firstborn, just to get an update on a package that's missing. Like, you stupid assholes. I have a valid tracking number. Just tell me what the fuck's going on with it.
I really wish we would stop ruling by fucking the executive order. This is regulatory capture 101 and pushes small businesses out of the way by adding more regulations and specific formulation requirements. Gets big pharma another revenue stream and closes the Delta-9 loophole entirely. #weedstr
I don't know exactly why my brain is doing this to me, but it seems like every couple days I seem to flip-flop between we live in a beautiful world and things are going great to what sort of dystopian shithole have we created for ourselves. At least lately I seem to be having a hard time finding some sort of in-between.
So I guess Forbidden West specifically has an issue with something called Direct Storage in the Proton plugin, the way that it streams from Direct Storage causes way too much chop when walking in the world to make it playable. But I'm going to test it with Cyberpunk 2077 next because apparently that's the poster child for Linux gaming actually being good. View quoted note →
