Testing on some Linux gaming stuff. I have DebianTrixie as my daily driver and I got Steam installed and now I'm installing Horizon Forbidden West. I'm gonna see how that runs.
I might not need to dual boot for gaming, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do for Ableton. π
I tried using Bitwig in the past and I just can't seem to make the switch.

Ableton is so goodβ¦
It's so hard to switch away from. The workflow is just too good.
And I've gotten it to partially work on Linux, like I can get the UI working, but the audio drivers are just fucked.
For realβ¦
Such a good torrent I almost want to pay for a legit copy lol
Ewww Iβve never tried it on Linuxβ¦
Just Mac n win
Ableton and games are like 80% of the reason I dual boot.
So I guess Forbidden West specifically has an issue with something called Direct Storage in the Proton plugin, the way that it streams from Direct Storage causes way too much chop when walking in the world to make it playable. But I'm going to test it with Cyberpunk 2077 next because apparently that's the poster child for Linux gaming actually being good.
