The ridiculous part is that it's zaps on notes, general zaps are okay. It's completely insanity.

Damus does not have zaps to notes. Every zap goes to a profile and always had been

They're not being forced. If they remove zaps they are doing so willingly, and in the process confirming Apple is their Lord and Master. They shouldn't do it at any cost. Too much truth, @jack?

They already exist.
In the Android world we have DeGoogled OSes like LineageOS, GrapheneOS, and /e/OS.
In the Linux phone world we have Mobian (Mobile Debian), Mobile Plasma, etc.. Linux phones work much better than people give them credit for. Linux phones do "convergence" better then any other phones. Convergence is when you use your phone as a phone, and you also dock it to a keyboard, mouse and monitor, and use it as your computer.

yes, specifically for note zaps. It must be clear its zapping to a profile instead of a note. If they don’t they will be at risk of getting pulled randomly like damus.
Not sure why podcasting 2.0 apps are allowed since this is the same as note/content zapping.
Rename to "tip (formerly known as zap)" in the interface and keep everything?

Regarding Damus: As a billionaire you probably know how the others think when they are in monopolistic situation. There is not a miracle just an ice cold reality.
The correct way to use the word innovation in the same sentence with Apple is if you put it in quotes. It never cared about being first.
Isn't there a way around? I think the issue was that the zaps could not be associated with a post because of whichever retarded rule. However, what if the zap links to the profile where there is the option of tipping the poster?

Very frustrating, I wonder if that can be changed back to the original plan in the future. I think it’s one of the best features, bringing back the old days of easy Bitcoin tips ala Changetip but better.
