Fair. I'm out here trying to stick it to the system I guess. Also, I worry that if this doesn't get adoption that the incentive to develop on it will start to fade. Plus, we're stronger civilians when we are able to speak to each other. If no one's here, and everything else gets censored/banned how will anyone talk? However, I get the time component since it's limited. There are a few dynamics at play.
You’re on the bird app to make yourself secure among others. You’re on #nostr to make yourself secure among relays. relays don’t care who you are or what you post. They just file away and ensure you’re digital history cannot be altered or erased. Others will lie to you and give you false security.
I believe that, long-term, Nostr, is the most safest bet. I live in Europe, and already the "free-speech-guru" Elon Musk is being threatened with "cutting the oprability of X within Europe, since not following EU's rules". Well, there you go. Nostr is the safe bet. In this ego-driven world, it is only a matter of time someone tells you that you can't say something online. Opt out.
