A lot of work (and Claude credits) went into this, but honestly the aha moment was worth it. I might be a little too proud of this one. 😂 image

Hey friends. Quick Christmas update on Zap Cooking. I’ve been spending more time building lately, and the direction has really settled in for me. Zap Cooking isn’t just about recipes. It never really was. It’s about food culture. Cooking is social. It’s what you’re eating, where you’re eating, who you’re cooking for, and the little moments around food that don’t always belong in a recipe card. That’s what we’ve been building toward. We added a global food feed alongside recipes. You can see food conversations from people you already follow, or you can turn that off and step into the broader food conversation happening across Nostr. It’s there if you want it, and out of the way if you don’t. Curation matters, so we did it the open-source way. All food curation is transparent and client-side. You can see how your feed is shaped and had a voice in the direction. We also added muting so your feed stays calm and intentional. There were a lot of smaller improvements too. Feeds load better, will continue to improve. Threads have more context. Images and videos render inline. Reposts and quotes now show up with rich previews so conversations feel connected. You can upload images directly from the community feed now as well. Profiles got cleaned up to match the community feed, and there’s an OnlyFood™ toggle if you just want to focus on food. At the end of the day, this is the direction: Food. Friends. Freedom. Zap Cooking is becoming a place to share food with friends and be part of a real community around food. No pressure. No noise. Just in time for Christmas. More to come. 🎄🍽️ View quoted note →
