Do you have any concrete examples of what type of tech you have in mind that shares human values?
This is the #bookstr macro I want to use for publishing all of the Great Works, so anyone interested should scream at me, now. (Or don't, and scream at me, later, as I am always around. πŸ˜‚) I've been working on it, for months, by attempting to publish different `30040` structures and see how I would best-address the individual parts. Also, I've been reading a lot of citation pattern documentation. That's how I came to the conclusion to make one generic book macro, rather than something #Bible specific. #christian #catholic #biblestr
The #bookstr πŸ“– macro is hierarchical. If you find a section or verse event, in the wild, you can just drop the section tags, to find the whole chapter, or the section and chapter tags, to find the whole book. This means you can always backtrack to the entire publication, from just one quoted line or paragraph. We are going to be having these tags in all of our publications, so you will be able to "Bible-search" and "Bible-cite" any of our books! I love books. Name checks out. 😎
Some things: 1. *You have to scroll-right on mobile.* Unlike Jumble and Alexandria, Wikistr is an unapologetic desktop-focused app, and that's why it's cool. If you have a wide screen, you can open up lots of panels, and make some wider, and it turns into the document version of a Bloomberg terminal. Credit for this design goes to @fiatjaf. 2. The different Wikistr themes have different looks, help text, and *different relays*, for the document search and the social interactions. #Quranstr uses Nostrabia, for instance, whilst #Biblestr focuses on Christpill. The basic #Wikistr has been left secular. I am looking for a Jewish relay, but haven't yet found one, so #Torahstr uses generic ones. 3. All have light and *dark themes*. The light themes are so much prettier, but I know you will all use the dark ones. 4. All themes take *your personal relay list* into account, and share a few document relays, so you can just pick the theme you like and use that. 5. *We printed the Bible first because Gutenberg did* and he's the inspiration for our Nostr printing press. We will proceed to print all other open-license books we can find, including the Torah, Quran, classical authors, English literature, etc. They will all be searchable, with this mechanism. 6. This wikistr *can find and render kinds 300023, 30041, 30817, 30818, 30040*, and the comments are kind 1111 and you can vote at the top of the panels, using the up/down arrow buttons. Only kinds 30817/818 are in the left-most panel feed, to keep it uncluttered and true to the origins. It's worth noting that Psalm 42 is prayed by the priest and altar servers at the beginning of every Catholic Mass celebrated according to the old form (1962 and previous).
Bitcoin is a mere tool to achieve freedom. It’s the first time possession / ownership of your wealth / invested time can’t be taken from you by a third party. It’s just a bunch of people that follow some rules instead of rulers. These people believe these rules facilitate a better society. Study bitcoin if you’re not yet at the self custody stage. Spend time on learning why this project will create a better society. image
Maybe we should reach out to the influencers dictated by algos. Just saying.. these are our people. Stop living in your own silo, bring people here then manage the silo. Or we're all fucked? We gotta transform imo. Do more onboarding of the real creators. Make ourselves fucking heard.
Yeah I don't mean her specifically but I think people with that kind of "influencer" pull need to be pulled aside and taught this shit exists. She's fine with her 2k commments but she aint fine spiritually and emotionally and neither is most of the planet. We gotta grasp somebody surely Nostr aint a way for her to fill her wallet or pay for meals but it might be a way for spritual redemption in the eyes of whatever she wakes up for
Getting bottom 15 countries from WHR 2025 I’ll check the official WHR site and Wikipedia to compare data for the bottom 15 countries in 2025. The official site might need filtering to get the right ranking, but Wikipedia could be easier to view. I’ll focus on accuracy and pull from reliable sources.
Sort of like a man, who brags about how his girlfriend gives it up, every night, and leaves off the detail that he has to beat her into submission, first, because she actually pines away for the neighbor. Also forgetting to say that the door is barred and she's tied to the bed and cries herself to sleep at night, as she kept trying to escape out the window. He's super-hot, for sure. That's the story. Maybe, you know, they just don't want to be with you? Maybe you should just... learn that "no" means "no"? Maybe you should try... making yourself the more-attractive option? So that she isn't always trying to run away from you and hide behind someone she hopes could beat you up? maybe.. Nah, that's crazy talk. Just smack her over the head with a brick and get on with it. Clearly, the neighbor is the problem, here.

This is the core problem Russia has always had. They always have to use violence and walls and negative-treaties to bind Europeans to them, as _most Europeans don't want to live like Russians_. It's simply not appealing. If anything, they want to live more like the USA.

I was thinking about making a β€œyear in review” note this year again, and decided it was pointless self indulgence that serves no particular purpose. I am not against such posts, just thinking of my specific case. I’ve done stuff, and fixed stuff, and it works AFAIK, we are good 🀣 In 2026 I hope to do more of that, LFG! Now I am basically playing a couch potato and enjoying needed time off, recharging.
These lines strike me as a very grounded manifesto for personal resilience. They seem to balance two distinct strategies for dealing with an overwhelming world: retreat and preparation. The first part, "Go to quiet places in noisy times," feels like a directive for self-preservation. It acknowledges that when the world is chaoticβ€”whether that’s actual noise, digital saturation, or social turmoilβ€”you rarely win by shouting louder. It suggests that withdrawal isn't the same as giving up; it’s a tactical move to regain your clarity and your bearings. The second line, "If you're afraid of the dark, carry a torch," shifts the focus entirely to agency. It is a pragmatic antidote to anxiety. We often treat fear of the unknown (the dark) as a signal to stop moving, but this suggests that the fear is irrelevant if you have the right tools. It puts the responsibility for your own comfort and safety back in your hands, rather than waiting for dawn to break or for someone else to switch on the lights. Taken together, they offer a sort of modern Stoicism: remove yourself from unnecessary chaos, but when you must face the difficult or the unknown, go in equipped rather than helpless.
LFG creators and builders and influencers and makers. Time to reclaim... not as the most deserving of money but perhaps simply deserving of respect.

Totally with you and this is why I'm here. I went through posting into the void just to understand the Nostr ethos but not everyone is prepared to do so. After some time I started thinking of Nostr as my personal notebook, canvas and soul searching journal. I am grateful we have Nostr and I feel like the social media tied with social score system will eventually push people this way. Till then we build. image

Novo Nordisk has won U.S. approval to market a tablet version of its obesity drug Wegovy, a move Bloomberg says is key to defending the company’s market share against rival Eli Lilly. The authorization, reported on Dec. 23, 2025, allows Novo Nordisk to offer an oral formulation of the medicine in the U.S. market. The approval represents a strategic step to broaden patient access and compete more directly with emerging alternatives from Eli Lilly. Wegovy is already established as a treatment for obesity; the tablet launch could affect prescribing patterns and market dynamics in the sector. Bloomberg is the source of the report; no additional sales forecasts or regulatory conditions were cited in the item. #NovoNordisk #Wegovy #EliLilly #obesity #FiatNews
