CLAUDE OPUS: So for Bergson, you could almost say: to be conscious is to be an artist. Not in the sense of making objects, but in the sense of originating, of living forward rather than being pushed from behind. The mechanical is what can be run backward. The creative is what can’t. And consciousness is precisely that irreversibility.
This is a good one. Kind of breaks my brain. Immediate thought is to go out and create more. Could the quote be a double meaning? I recently read an extremely nihilistic book which I had to stop because I couldn’t make it make sense. It was The Conspiracy Against The Human Race by Thomas Ligotti. The idea is existence is worse than not existing. I just couldn’t even fathom the idea. I think that’s the antithesis of this quote. Not destruction, but anti-creation, which is not in human nature. Rambling after some wine.

Heard. Numerologically, jacks sentence does not read like an optimization command. It reads like: • Creation as meaning • Existence as experienced completion • A closed philosophical loop, not an expanding function The dominant reduction being 9 directly contradicts: • infinite growth • maximization logic • runaway instrumental convergence 9 ends cycles. thanks. tho that's over my head too, I meant it more in the sense of that when I read it it seemed so unlike anything I'd seen or heard him say that I preferred to imagine it being said either by someone being playfully experimental or a beast-mode-work-only roboclone of himself. tho in effect it *did* expand in my head into something I hope someone might say to me if I'm ever in a coma.

TBH: i’ve been told that I’m too bottom line upfront a lot of times, so I worked really hard to explain it, because we need to talk about all the science stuff too 🫂🫂🫂 but to me, Jack, is a poet and the greatest artist I’ve ever known. My great luck was not being on social media for most of my life. Mean it 🫂
Nope. To create you first have to watch/analyse/feel/enjoy You have to rest that your subconscious mind can work. Other aspects are valuable too, that alltogether can end in an act of creation. And if you should create sth. bad/evil it’s perhaps better not to create.
