@Oscar Merry, love the new direction. An annoying bug unrelated to Nostr though: on iOS, audio stops when phone screen locks or app goes to background. I’m sure you understand that for podcast listening, this is a dealbreaker. Thanks!

Could this possibly be caused by low battery mode or some other iOS setting? I don’t have this issue

Please make sure the social graph is integrated, i.e., let user know how many of their followers have listened to a given episode or follows the show.
Not sure how people would feel if their podcasts listens were public.
But I guess 95% of people would not approve of that.

Nonetheless, they should definitely inform me how many in my social circle follow a show
Ability to export Podcasts to OPML is a big one for me.
I gave it a try once and found it too buggy. @PABLOF7z's shill has convinced me to try again

am I correct in noticing that connecting nostr made it so I can't be streamed sats anymore?

That is fine .. apk need not be open source .. or is it ? I thought apks as just binaries (without source code) .. I may be wrong !

I use fountain, literally… everyday.!! Every podcast (Bitcoin only) is streamed through Fountain. Love it 🫶🏼

I don't know if other users have the same problem, but while listening to fountain and trying to send zaps in Nostr, the wallet doesn't allow it and shows error. Anyone else with this problem.
Otherwise, I am daily on fountain. Keep up the good work!

Chapter skip?
You can view and skip chapters from the player by clicking on the chapter icon or scrolling down to view the tabs below the player. Agree it would be better to be able to skip chapters with 1 tap though - will look at adding this.
Why is the app asking for my NSEC to connect Nostr? Can’t this be done via @Alby or the like? We’re supposed to practice safe NSECs, right?
On Android we support NIP-55 remote signers like Amber - .md
On iOS there isn't really a good NIP-46 remote signer available. I know @jb55 is thinking of adding this to @npub18m76...q955 which would be amazing and we would support it straight away.
Not sure if @Alby has plans for a mobile NIP-46 signer.
Would be nice if the library tab auto refreshed. I often get notifications actions about new podcast episodes but have to do a pull-to-refresh to see them listed.
The library auto-refreshes when you open the app for the first time each day. We didn't want to enable auto-refresh on every open in order to save data usage. We could maybe add this option in the settings though.
If the auto downloads are set to any option except “never” it could poll the connection state and do a sync.
And have “auto download - never” display a disclaimer that listed episodes (episode name, pic and metadata) may not be available for playback. (I assume anyone that chooses never wants to personally choose which shows to download anyway)
As per my DM from few weeks ago, ad free versions of podcasts that you can pay for and ability to use your own wallet would be 👌

Why you wouldn't go via Aurora store?
Would be good to have import options for subscriptions. Selecting the opml import option actually does nothing, because it just tells you to export from another app, and if that function just doesn't work for whatever reason, or if your other app just wants to export to a file, then the practical effect is that Fountain has no import options. Would be better to support several file import options, or even other sync services.

the scrub bar sometimes gets out of sync. I tend to use the +30 seconds button allot then hit the -10 seconds so maybe that's related.
