I also don't know if bringing Russia to a full economic collapse is good for Europe or America. That could quickly turn into a much worse situation and the Russian citizenry would quickly be even worse off than the Ukrainians now are, which means a lot of ethnic Europeans and Christians suffering. Economic collapse is sometimes more deadly than war. The best thing would be peace and economic recovery, for both countries, and soon. If Trump manages this, I won't mock him for wanting the Nobel Peace Prize, anymore. Then he deserves it. So, godspeed, Mr. President. 🫑
I prioritize free speech and freedom of the press higher than peace. Since peace without freedom of the press is only peacful for those in power. And exactly what leads to such wars in the first place. So it would be a great setup for a short peace term with no strategy against the same war coming up when russia reproduced its military equippment.
There's a lot of benefit in people not getting blown to bits, anymore. I would rather not pretend like I don't think peace is valuable in its own right. Fewer people dying is generally good. I doubt anyone is naive about what Russia might do, after this. We've been watching this circus drag on for years. They will invade their European neighbors with tanks and bombs and drones and fighter jets. Understood. That is how the Russians are. Okay. We're still bewildered, but we got the message they have sent us. image When this war ends, they are going to have to deal with the fact that we don't trust them, anymore. I don't know, if they are aware of this. Or if they care.
