Nice work Jeff! Be the change in the world that you want to see
Takes some real balls to say goodbye to all that work
But it feels a lot like the idea of going βall inβ on Bitcoin
When you see the value. Itβs makes so much sense to do it!
Nostr is decentralized but itβs still quite concentrated. I donβt find anywhere near the diversity of viewpoints and ideas from those posting here, as I do on the social media platforms. It can be quite an echo-chamber - even on the universal feed.
I understand and believe in the potential for it to become significantly diverse but itβs not there yet. Only when the left adopts it to argue with the right and the statist cucks come to fight the libertarians, will Nostr have truly succeeded.
So, hopefully, some of your critics and detractors will come on over to argue with youβ¦
All in from tomorrow too, but instead of deactivating my X account I'll pin a last post where to find me here on #Nostr. After all, it's not mainstream yet and people are not going to find you here without some help.
I've been more and more disturbed by some of the posts I've seen on X.com recently so will follow your example. I'll probably use Nostr as my primary platform but will still call into Mastodon occassionally. I still find Nostr to be a bit too bitcoin intensive but this must change overtime.
Have you missed the ability to edit/delete messages? Iβm very new to #Nostr and already made a few mistakes that I canβt undo (reposted the same post multiple times because of a buggy client).
This makes me a bit nervous about going all in.
I canβt seem to be able to follow anyone, tried adding/changing relays but it doesnβt add/change them.
Using primal, anyone any ideas how to resolve?
I did the same a months ago. I still look at the first 10 tweets or so once a day and it just reaffirms that this is the right move.
Twitter is ULTRA toxic. Every single post has a negative sentiment about something. It's a giant cesspool where everyone fights against everyone. This just can't be good for the human brain. It's a cortisol and adrenaline vending machine.
Here? Every post is "hey look guys, I build a cool thing, whaddaya think?"
One year ago I did a thing... I deleted my final centralized social media account (Twitter/X).
Today, I have no regrets.
One year from today, I may be off of social media completely.
