My hypothesis is that nostr is being positioned to do the heavy lifting of monetary transactions for sites that use the AT Protocol (and the open web in general), & that Damus is somewhat the equivalent prototypical demonstration for Nostr that Bluesky is for AT.
Do you foresee the BlueSky protocol replacing NOSTR?
No
i agree with you.
In what ways might the Nostr and Bluesky protocols interoperate or complement each other?
The second half of this video nails social media. As relevant as it was then as it is now.
Nostr Wins.
as in, testing whether the same post gets different engagement on the different platforms?
Having never used bluesky, what does that mean?
When will bluesky be out of beta?

For what itβs worth, your compass focus point has always been abt the people. I think the more decentralised AT Protocol gets, the better it going to be for Bluesky. I wrote here on how decentralisation reduces extremism and brings positive change and balance to society (sorry, long). Plato in Republic (7) puts it way better

probably that he can only still be regarded as a hero inside his bitcoin-freak billionarie-sucker bubble
Beware of jay the person running Bluesky who fuels harassment and mobbing and acts like a criminal gang leader. You should beware of the amateurs you have running the platform you invested in.
