Iβm giving myself until the end of this year to quit smoking cigarettes.
I will not be a smoker in 2024.
Enough already.

Hey, 100 days w/o cigs = 500k sat bounty from me to you on your honor. And remind me.
Youβre so sweet lol If I get there and I remember I will lyk π«Άπ
WHEN I get there
I'll get in on this. 500k from me too if you go 100 days. I'll even put it on my calendar and check in with you.
3/23/24 - 100 days from 12/1. Gonna check in on ya!
You are amazing!! π€©
How's the quitting going @npub14xu4...428l? I haven't forgotten and I hope you're smoke free!
You just have to want to stop smelling like you just smoked, and nicotine gum can help you chew through the first cravings. Good luck!
Thank you, this is a really humbling journey for me but I really want to get over it. π
Youβll get there πͺ
The goal should be to form a negative association with smoking cigarettes. For me, I was trying to quit when my grandpa died of a heart attack. He smoked all his life and overnight my new association was βthese killed my grandpa and I didnβt get to say goodbyeβ. Wasnβt hard to stick to it after that.
You can do it! πͺ But you have to change some habits. Eat more fruits instead of smoking. Add some workout (at least walking more). And forget that trash. It must not be an option on bad moments.
8 years since my last cigarette π
Good for you!
Congratulations, thatβs huge
You can do it too!

I love to smoke my organic cigs every now and then. Cigars too.
Give up alcohol before those delicious cigs.
I donβt drink that often but I smoke daily. Itβs the worst thing I do as far as my health is concerned.
Sending good thoughts.
Try cutting back & leaving it as an end of day reward for a job well done. Mental health matters too.
My plan is to taper down until 12/1 and then itβs cold turkey from there π
You can do it. π
toothpicks help
You can do this!
You can do it!
I quit 20 years ago
Good for you. I tried pretty much every method out there over the course of 20 years but always backslid.
Last time I did the patch and it worked pretty well, minimal discomfort from withdrawals. Clean almost a year now.
You got this!
I don't smoke, drink or take drugs of any kind. But I have in my past, and lots of it.
I have found that you can wean off of almost anything. I've never Vaped. But I hear you can gradually decrease your nicotine to zero.
That sounds pretty awesome to me. I haven't researched it. But vaping sterile saline or water might be therapeutic.
Many people do successfully cold turkey cigarettes and narcotics. It shouldn't kill you. As long as you keep your nutrition and hydration good. But I wouldn't do it. I would wean off it.
But there are a few drugs that will definitely kill you if you try and cold turkey them. Like all benzodiazepam's (Valium etc) and barbiturates. You have to slowly wean off of them or they will definitely kill you.
They say you can cold turkey antidepressants. But I've heard of many people having to be hospitalized in the throes of a so-called psychotic nervous breakdown.
Good luck..π«
Iβm just struggling with cigarettes. Itβll be tough but I know I can do it π
My sweet grandmother smoked cigarettes most of her life. Until I went to stay with her one summer and got sick from the smoke. Then she just stopped, and never smoked again for over 30 years..β€οΈπ«
Get it done! πͺ
In my experience shrooms are great at fixing addictions. They seem to be able to rewire the brain somehow. Something to consider.
Youβre the third person whoβs said this
That's my goal as well! GL
It's one of the best things you'll ever do. Give it 6 months and you will feel incredible. In a year you won't be able to imagine smoking again.
