it's theoretical but it's backed up. we have machines running at 50 logical qubits, sustained, so error correction working. we need maybe 1,700 logical qubits sustained for some hours to crack a Bitcoin key. Yes going from 50 to 1,700 is a big jump when you consider what's involved, but you could say that about many jumps we've made in the past.
