There’s something that’s been bothering me for a while. To some 'Bitcoiners', I’m not 'Bitcoin' enough as if that’s even a real thing. Like being called progressive or feminist is supposed to be an insult. LOL. And then every time I go back in my hometown, like last night, I get called a conspiracy theorist. Even for talking about the most basic bitcoin stuff (like the fact that dollars is not pegged by gold) 😭 and this happens a looot even on my social media The truth is that nothing messes with your head like realizing that EVERYTHING you’ve been told about one of the most fundamental things (money) was wrong… and THEN suddenly finding yourself surrounded by people who also question the moon landing and whether sunscreen is even useful 🥲 But let me tell you something. And I’m saying this to myself too. It’s fine. It’s all fine. People are always trying to put you in a box. You’re either woke or delusional, feminist or comunist, sheep or lunatic. The financial system is a huge scam yes, but I don't question literally everything else. I drink wine and eat carbs on a daily basic and fuck yeah. The truth is, I live in the middle. And I’m OK with that. I absolutely love my life the way it i. Being in the middle is what makes me human. It’s what allows me to see nuance. It’s what makes life richer, messier, and full of meaning. Also, I'm surrounded be so many and SO DIFFERENT people, I could never close myself up in my own world or diet. I don't know in which point you are in this bitcoin journey but don’t be afraid to stand in between. Between two fires, two colors, two truths. Because that’s exactly where things start to make sense.

Everyone is on a journey. Some however have “seen the light” and changed the trajectory of their lives. As time goes by you can’t help but believing one thing over another or doing one thing over another. You tend towards one “side” or another. You become one thing and not the other. Most people don’t believe or act the same way over the course of their life. We become who we are.✌️🛣️

It feels like I've just tuned out of the world 😛 I've stopped talking, people don't deserve to know what I think. The most air time my thoughts see are right here on nostr, even then I deliberately don't engage when it feels like someone wants me to convince them. There's a great satoshi quote for that.

Yes I can affirm the Earth is not flat but a globe, climate change is real and for a big part human caused, actual people landed on the Moon a few times even, covid was also real and not the regular flu, the current president of the US is causing harm to everyone and US citizens the most. Don't confuse people's ideas, opinions, ideologies as being the person. It's easy to confuse people with their opinions, particularly on social media. I remember when it was fine for family to have crazy ideas, they were still family. Same for friends. Then, about 15 years ago, everyone decided to disown anyone they disagreed with. It's easy to do on social media, just hit the block button. But now people are blocking people in real life. People are losing marriages and jobs because they dared to consider things differently. Is it possible anymore to separate the person from the belief?

Well said, being a moderate Bitcoiner can be lonely. But it does feel (to me at least) like there’s a little less reflexive resistance to the idea of Bitcoin amongst the normies, and there is more space in Bitcoin circles for normie Bitcoiners. May that trend continue!
The moon landing as it's been reported is indeed debatable to the very least, though, and sunscreens are usually carcinogenic sludges that you massage on your skin until they're absorbed. If you really want to protect yourself because you have to stay for a long time under the sun, use coconut oil, that's what indigenous populations of sunny countries used when Weston Price went around the world examining natural living conditions of the human race. But normal healthy practices expect that you take sunlight progressively as you approach the hottest months, so by then you are tan enough to have builtin protection. And even then, you stay under the sun for a controlled amount of time, since we have proper houses, unlike savage populations who lived most of the time outside. Also carbs are bad for you and that's peacefully accepted. Knowing that the entire financial system is an evil scam should make you doubt about everything else that even remotely leads to it.
I'm from Switzerland, and simply pointing out the rise in healthcare prices is often enough to make people realize that something is going wrong. Most normies have a limited ability to process information—go straight to what is changing in their daily lives without rambling about complex topics.

Basically if you are ok to not steal from your fellow humans brothers/sisters, you can be whatever you want progressive woke or even fascist (it's the same actually) That as simple as that. Don't steal. With that said life is easy and living in society works pretty smoothly.
