Exactly. So why not drop the push to open up bitcoin to more 'use cases' against the wishes of a large segment of bitcoiners and focus instead on making bitcoin the sound money the world needs.

speak for yourself. many people want bitcoin to have more genuine utility but all we get is a bunch of centralized lightning companies. you are part of a loud minority enabling centralization.
