Having children and seeing what happened to BSV makes me very emotionally susceptible to the “Knots side” of this argument. That said, I realize my own knowledge handicap with these topics and am doing my best to reserve any judgements, one way or the other, until I am more confidently knowledgeable about the subject matter. Stay free, stay humble, touch grass, love much and keep stacking out there! And for those who do fully understand such topics, please “bring the sauce” whenever possible. Many of us are still early learners.

Seems like CSAM will be the other FUD shoe to drop to try and regulate BTC. After the terrorism connection claim, it was only natural that "protect children" would come next. Always does.
Man…I wish I could crawl back under a rock and just turn on tv so I didn’t have to think about these arguments and consequences of the outcomes of these arguments…I’m a knots guy, but there are so many ways to critically think about all of this. There’s no reason to push such obviously divisive changes without ulterior motives. The arguments just don’t add up.

there are 100 core devs who contributed to core in the past 500 commits. your plan is to replace all of these devs familiar with the codebase with who exactly
all because a non-consensus parameter was tweaked, a parameter which has no affect on what gets into blocks. seems completely reasonable 🙄

Part of the reason Walker is becoming enemy #1 is because he is one of the few big podcasters who hasn't been going long enough to become audience captured and still thinks for himself.
Modern Bitcoin maximalism likes to think of itself as the white blood cells of the corpus but in reality it's more of a cancer that needs to be cut out for Bitcoin to grow.
