#[0] is absolutely blowing our minds. He referred to “nSecBunker” this morning, so I was curious and asked him about it.
“You can run [it] on your LN node or any other always-on device… that means you[r] sec doesn’t need to be ANYWHERE else hot! The client creates events, and communicates with nsecBunker over Nostr to get signatures for these events”
“Is this using Nip-26, delegated signing?"
“No, a separate method. Nip-26 requires relays and clients’ support and no one wants to support it. So I went a different route for this one that doesn’t require changes from anyone”
This is MASSIVE! It has wide-reaching implications, and will allow businesses and organizations to use Nostr. It will allow for key management and user permissions without putting the nSec at risk. This is a pain point for Nostr Report as multiple people are editing, writing, and managing the account, so you can imagine we were very excited to hear about it!
And a friendly reminder… As devs like Pablo transition to Nostr full-time, it’s even more important for us to support them. Thank you, Pablo!
