@npub1e7rq...uf8g This implies that the average American voter knows what a tariff is. Media using phrasing such as "Trump *slaps* China with tariffs" doesn't really help. To a layperson, it intuitively sounds like China is going to pay more for American products, when in reality it's the exact other way around.
