good case in point about why I stick with open source #selfhosted solutions whenever possible: I'm finally messing with Cloudflare for some work-related uses, I made a couple Turnstile widgets two days ago, first time ever using the platform, and now 2 days later the layout of the table displaying these items has changed...
the rate of pointless change in free software is lower. it's not zero, but it's broadly lower. that's a major selling point to me, because I simply don't have mental acuity or life force to spend on adapting to pointless software changes, and no the cost of a new table layout suddenly appearing is not zero for all neurotypes!
