"Ownership" just means a government grants you temporary exclusive access and they will back that privilege with law and violence, in exchange for money. It's a mafia racket outsourcing violence. It's also ironic because native peoples typically didn't "own" land anyway. I don't know about this particular group, but most native peoples in the Americas didn't have plots that they bought and sold. So now it's only through the introduction of Western property rights that they are even able to make a "legal" claim. Of course there is no "right" answer here, but typically throughout history when empires conquer by force, they don't later relinquish their plunder out of good will. Gives a new meaning to "Indian giving"?
All lands are conquered lands and you only have β€œtitle” to such lands as you can defend it. We now watch to see if Canadian citizens with existing land titles ( because they were part of the previous conquering system) allow themselves to become newly conquered through administrative processes.
in reality no one owns the land. Lands are illegally conquered by most everywhere. And those have more lad in history use to dominate over others. Land mafia in play. Doesn't matter which country which tribe. My view is as these are illegally conquered and must be redistributed for equality and transparency.

For those who consider real estate a safe asset, this is a must read. When I first saw the news, I thought it was bad…..but this read (that I double checked with lawyers) feels more catastrophic for Canada.

From the "there are no coincidences file" June 21, 21 Canada Gov announces phase 1 to partially re-open the boarder. This was prior to the Freedom Convoy, Emergencies Act Feb 2022. Also June 21, 21 UNDRIP receives royal accent in Canada. At that time, how many had even heard of UNDRIP? What did the Government know? British Columbian Gov passed UNDRIP (royal accent) Nov 2019. Horagan (NDP) Canada officially recognized the declaration in 2010 They knew, they took full advantage of COVID cover to get this passed through Prov and Fed houses. With full respect and regards to Native claims of abuse and murder, the "Orange Shirt" movement (Canada's BLM) became the ideal distraction for any opposition to UNDRIP. As the article states polls are still heavily in favour of reconciliation. It would certainly appear that this disruptive land title challenge has been in the works for some time. It's unlikely that the First Nations people colluded with Central Bankers, so one to question Cui Bono? If banks are no longer obligated to lend against the property and the mortgage holder cannot obtain financing or sell, who is most likely to resolve the financial claim. BC Gov can't, Fed Gov can't, Central Bank can Game - set - match This is how the long game is played while the masses are distracted with shiney objects, sport ball and political theatre. Bitcoin is the escape hatch - the only escape hatch.
