the fact that the trump admin is trying to make it seem that carrying a handgun with a red dot and extra mags makes you a domestic terrorist is proof that armed and well trained individuals are an incredibly strong deterrent against government tyranny

In most freedom indices the US ranks below ~15th in terms of human and economic freedom but then the discussion gets very, very nuanced depending on what freedom means to you. Maybe those indices are corrupted? I don't know. There are also low-key smaller countries where there are more "de facto" freedoms than appear on paper.
Right, that’s the point. It looks like a tiny pebble in an ocean, but it’s merely one symptom of the problem as a whole. You do make less than that. That means that if you were a business, your employee would be yielding less than that from your labor. Yet, if your farm was an S-Corp, and attempted to pay yourself (as the employee) the $6.99 you’re worth, then they would say it was tax fraud and unfair compensation. Sure taxation is theft, but you should be able to pay yourself whatever garbage wage you want. Then, after paying yourself that garbage wage, you should pay taxes at a lower rate because you’re not worth as much. Anything else is artificial inflation, which isn’t free. The further you get from anarcho-capitalism, the further you get from just simply letting the market decide completely on its own, the closer you are to UBI and full on socialism.
"Bunch of taxes and regulations" yeah that applies to a lot of jurisdictions... I'm not saying USA is bad, just that it's not the "land of the free". Or why doesn't it rank number 1 everywhere then? It is the only country in the world that will chase you globally to pay taxes even when you don't reside there, and if you try to renounce your citizenship the exit tax will fuck you over. I would say it is the land of opportunity, it's a great place to build a business mostly because of the huge market and infrastructure.
Oh ok, that makes sense in context. I just look at granular things and take them to the extreme. I guess all that was me trying to say “The extreme of minimum wage isn’t freedom, it is totalitarian facism.” (Not in the cheap antifa definition of facism, but the classical definition: federalized corporatism).. the same or less free for the average worker, but way less free for a private business owner. Both the worker and the ceo are people, so it’s a net loss for the worker to be the same free and the owner to be less free. But ya, it’s a dumb metric for freedom lol
Be honest, Why do you bring a gun to a ICE protest to begin with? Are you expecting gun fire from leftists? NO. Are you expecting gun fire from ICE? NO, unless you break the law and obstruct them and fight them. All he is saying is you cannot break the law and incite violence. And if you do, that’s the definition of domestic terrorism. What do you want? A mob to stop the any enforcements they don’t like?
In our revered Declaration of Independence, written by thee great Thomas Jefferson, he refers to those, alien to our country, as "merciless Indian savages". I agree; don't tread on me. But the formation of our states was our assertion we have our own people with our own heritage, culture, and way of life. When drafting the Constitution, we drafted a contract that we will allow a Federal govt to exist in addition to the sovereign states (they called it general govt back then), if they perform their contracted duties which includes casting out the invaders and insurgents. That's not boot licking. That's the (Constitutional) contract all states knowingly, voluntarily, intentionally entered into.
After my workout. I down a protein shake, grab my cool AR, stand in front of the mirror snd scream “Come and take them!” Then I hop on #nostr to tell everybody that the guy protesting tyranny deserved it because he didn’t follow orders AND he brought a gun…what an idiot. This. This is what you dumb chuckle fucks sound like.
America used to only have a Sheriff. His job is to help manage those of us that are "domiciled" Citizens of our Union state. Not "residents". After the 14th Amendment created a 2nd citizenship...a Federal citizenship, better known by its euphemism "a US citizen", then POLICy Enforcement (POLICE) was introduced to manage "that" citizenship group. USA Citizens are still protected by the Constitution. SCOTUS ruled that U.S. citizens "may" be extended the same Bill of Rights, but that's on a case by case basis. It's not the same guarantee the Constitution gives its Union state Citizens.
Only Federal citizenship can be taken away. You aren't born into it. You "naturalize" yourself into it when you sign under perjury that you identify as a US citizen. You are born into Union state Citizenship, and nobody can take that away (lawfully). By the way, whereas Union state Citizens have the 9th Amendment of innumerable Rights beyond the pursuit of happiness, Federal citizens have obligations...like paying the income tax, for example. Someone would only want to have their optional Federal citizenship revoked. But Union state Citizenship is all benefits without the innumerable statutory obligations.
A US citizen is a Federal citizen. A Federal citizen is a 14th Amendment citizen. In the hallmark court case of what's come to be known as the Slaughterhouse Trials, the presiding Chief Justice ruled 14th Amendment citizens are NOT guaranteed the Constitution's Bill of Rights. That's only for Citizens among the 50 states. Look it up! In case you got lost, remember how this started. A US citizen is NOT a Citizen to any of the Union states. A U.S. citizen is "domiciled" in the District of Columbia, regardless of which state they are "residing" in. Yes; America has two citizenships. Union state vs Federal. And if you don't know which you are, the govt presumes you are a Federal citizen.
The issue isn’t guns—it’s armed, organized obstruction of law enforcement during operations targeting violent criminals. When officers are being blocked, threatened, or attacked, context matters. Expecting a perfect response in that environment isn’t realistic.
Not a good idea to physically touch a law enforcement officer in any situation… it’s not going to end well for you… he should have never put himself in the situation he did knowing he was carrying. He made a grave error and paid the ultimate price. It’s the responsibility you take on when you carry. No one’s fault but his. I am 110% pro 2nd amendment… you make the big boy decision to carry you will own the consequences.
