In our revered Declaration of Independence, written by thee great Thomas Jefferson, he refers to those, alien to our country, as "merciless Indian savages". I agree; don't tread on me. But the formation of our states was our assertion we have our own people with our own heritage, culture, and way of life. When drafting the Constitution, we drafted a contract that we will allow a Federal govt to exist in addition to the sovereign states (they called it general govt back then), if they perform their contracted duties which includes casting out the invaders and insurgents. That's not boot licking. That's the (Constitutional) contract all states knowingly, voluntarily, intentionally entered into.

America used to only have a Sheriff. His job is to help manage those of us that are "domiciled" Citizens of our Union state. Not "residents". After the 14th Amendment created a 2nd citizenship...a Federal citizenship, better known by its euphemism "a US citizen", then POLICy Enforcement (POLICE) was introduced to manage "that" citizenship group. USA Citizens are still protected by the Constitution. SCOTUS ruled that U.S. citizens "may" be extended the same Bill of Rights, but that's on a case by case basis. It's not the same guarantee the Constitution gives its Union state Citizens.

Only Federal citizenship can be taken away. You aren't born into it. You "naturalize" yourself into it when you sign under perjury that you identify as a US citizen. You are born into Union state Citizenship, and nobody can take that away (lawfully). By the way, whereas Union state Citizens have the 9th Amendment of innumerable Rights beyond the pursuit of happiness, Federal citizens have obligations...like paying the income tax, for example. Someone would only want to have their optional Federal citizenship revoked. But Union state Citizenship is all benefits without the innumerable statutory obligations.

A US citizen is a Federal citizen. A Federal citizen is a 14th Amendment citizen. In the hallmark court case of what's come to be known as the Slaughterhouse Trials, the presiding Chief Justice ruled 14th Amendment citizens are NOT guaranteed the Constitution's Bill of Rights. That's only for Citizens among the 50 states. Look it up! In case you got lost, remember how this started. A US citizen is NOT a Citizen to any of the Union states. A U.S. citizen is "domiciled" in the District of Columbia, regardless of which state they are "residing" in. Yes; America has two citizenships. Union state vs Federal. And if you don't know which you are, the govt presumes you are a Federal citizen.
The issue isn’t guns—it’s armed, organized obstruction of law enforcement during operations targeting violent criminals. When officers are being blocked, threatened, or attacked, context matters. Expecting a perfect response in that environment isn’t realistic.
Not a good idea to physically touch a law enforcement officer in any situation… it’s not going to end well for you… he should have never put himself in the situation he did knowing he was carrying. He made a grave error and paid the ultimate price. It’s the responsibility you take on when you carry. No one’s fault but his. I am 110% pro 2nd amendment… you make the big boy decision to carry you will own the consequences.
