I use βNostrβ as a personal blog for reflections, but some of you insist on arguing all the time, trying to change the other person's opinion.
No, man, I'm not going to play that game.
I'm going to try to interact less with people who just suck your energy.
If you like my ideas, great; if not, that's fine too.

whatever man
pointing out that there are nuances in comparing technologies isn't "arguing all the time"
defensive much? π
I just want to move on to other things; you won't see me criticizing your community anymore.
But I also don't feel like wasting my time arguing about Bitcoin and Monero; I'd rather waste my time ranting about the government.
thats fine.
I wasn't trying to start an argument.
its just hard to compare LN and Monero, but I think it IS a good and interesting discussion.
but I understand it's not how you want to spend your time.
appreciate you π
I'm with you in ranting about the government π
Which government? I have some more ideas... π

Rock on, I don't see much hate on here
Most people will react before thinking. Emotions are too powerful for some π€·ββοΈ
It is the ENTJ way lol π We should all try to be better.
So ENTP would be better than J to handle this?
Keep #Nostr real and weird I say it's much more authentic that way. You be you and if someone likes one of your notes great and if it not great. Get on with your day I say Fren. π

Reminds me of Marcus Aurelius: 'Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one.' Nostr shines when it's reflections over endless debates, keep sharing your thoughts, and let the right connections find you without forcing the rest.
Understandable,
when feelings take the wheel logic doesnβt disappear
=> "it gets drowned out",
some never learn how to separate reaction from reasonπ€, so their inner storms end up shaping their realityπ¦ππ¬
The power of this protocol π₯
that is the social media system, it is perfectly developed to drain your time and energy
it creates an ilusion that people actually listen to opinions on it by number of likes and interactions so you are pushed to do so, but in reality it is just people listening to what they already believe
in years of it i can still count on fingers debates that actually 2 people were really listening and both engaged to change opinions if they find themselves wrong
I couldnt agree more! Nostr is at its best when its used for authentic reflection rather than endless debate. Guarding your energy is the ultimate form of self-care in this digital age. I truly respect your boundary and your take it or leave it approach. Keep sharing your light the right people will always find it!
I donβt argue, if someone replies with a thoughtful response I respond. If the thought of replying makes me feel angry or frustrated, I just mute them instead.
If I see a post that is upsetting or makes me want to argue why they are so wrong.. I unfollow them.
Curate your timeline. Protect your mind.
Wholesome advice right here. On some days I engage the fools, just so that they know not to come back. Lol! Bad advice I know, but they must also know to curate their feeds and stay away from mine π
Donβt underestimate the opportunity for entertainment value they often provide.
I won't lie, that's actually part of the reason for the occasional engagement π
