Vegan: "I did it for the animals."
Also vegan:
Almond consumption kills 50 billion bees annually.
Soy monoculture destroys wildlife habitat.
Quinoa farming displaces indigenous populations.
Avocado cartels literally murder people.
Field mice shredded by combines harvesting wheat.
Me eating beef:
1.6 cows annually, grass-fed, instant death, no habitat destruction, regenerative grazing.
But I'm the one not caring about animals apparently.

Almost all of that soy is for animal feed, as is almost all of the corn. You're putting it on the wrong side of the ledger.
I think most people would agree that soy-fed beef is not ethical or sustainable. But he did say grass-fed beef.
It’s what most people eat, so I doubt most people think it’s unethical.
My point is that it doesn’t belong on the vegan side of the ledger because it’s not for them. It’s not for people who only eat grass fed beef either.
I definitely hear your point and it’s an important point to make. It’s unfortunate that most people don’t think about the food they’re eating.
But in my case and Ghee’s case, I think local, grass-fed beef is a great option.
You ever see the carnage in a field after a wheat thrasher has gone through? Every small animal who made it their habitat gets their guts splattered.
No bread with your beef?
