We've decided to reduce the requirements for claiming a custom WoS Lightning Address! 🥳
✅ Lightning Transactions: 50 -> 10
✅ BTC On-chain Volume: 0.01 -> 0.001
This should open the opportunity up for thousands more to claim their _______@walletofsatoshi.com instantly! Tap Receive -> Customize in your WoS App to try it.
For context, currently around 1% of our monthly active users have claimed a custom address, so it is an elite group!🏅

Or you can register at #nostrcheck.me
You have 5 domains to choose from, and you can even use your NIP-05 verified username as your lightning address in place of that Wallet of Satoshi. You will stiil be using WoS but on your profile, it's your NIP-05 showing, and you can also use the nostrcheck.me public gallery, etc - all for free, courtesy of dev @Quentin
Go and look at my profile, you'll see
We also have a telegram chatroom 🥳
I would love to but I am really new to this & still don't understand the difference between the bitcoin on chain & lightning zaps. I'm only missing the on chain volume & probably won't be able to make it to 100k.
If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Almost there! Thanks for reducing the requirements.
What exactly is the email required for? Just curious.
It lets you recover your account if you delete the app / lose your phone etc
It should be optional.
It is!
It would be nice to have an ability to change email address, I hope this can be worked into a future version of @Wallet of Satoshi
Email support, they can help you out.
But not optional if you want a custom address correct? KYC if you want to buy btc via WoS?
Enjoy not having email attached.

Lol nah, leave it as it is so it’s clear to you guys that most people don’t give a fuck.
I couldn’t wait to secure my handle. Be patient… it never matters… until it does. 21bitcoin@walletofsatoshi.com
You really think you own that thing huh. Enjoy.
Oh ok, that is the point that you are trying to make. I use hot wallets like I use a watch, a car, or even an ex girlfriend. It’s mine until the battery runs out, the gas is gone, or the rightful owner shows up to take her away. When that happens I have more toys stored in cold storage with my private keys protected. In the mean time…I get a lot of usage and appreciate the great apps that people spend their energy on creating and maintaining for us. What can I say. I’m a tech guy that enjoys doing tech-y things.
It’s not even a hot wallet so your analogy is waaaaay off. More like a bank account owned and controlled by a bank, you’re just excited because they replaced the account number they control with your name.
You are 100% correct. I did get excited about the email type naming scheme. In all seriousness I would like to know more about WOS. Which bank owns them? I honestly wasn’t aware.
Fuck yeah thx!

@Wallet of Satoshi will the generated address still work? Or is it gone, when claiming a custom name?
Yes - your old generated address will continue to work!
The only time you'll lose a lightning address is if you give up a 'custom' address to get a different 'custom' address.
Awesome! 🥳 Thanks WoS! 😎👍

To late for me ☺️.
When @wos.com?
If that should happen to mean that I now qualify, where should I see the option?
Doh! Receive -> Customize 🤦♂️
Gracias, thanks!!
Zap me for absolutely no reason.

I love using your wallet for Lightning but don’t find the need to use it for Bitcoin.
