Insert my very own crocodile tears here...

Yea I noticed this too.
Hopefully as more people come to Nostr those artists will find some genuine fans that enjoy their art and not just the one time zap from purple pillers trying to make them feel welcome
Yea weβre eager to welcome people, which is good. But it also creates false expectations. βWow my posts are going to do great here and make money.β And then π¦π¦π¦ π
Maybe extend the welcoming for a few days, follow those artists and share a few of their notes.
There's no algorithms to do it for them, this protocol is people powered.
I like that about nostr.
I love that about nostr. The best thing new artists here can do for themselves is to be active on other peopleβs posts/threads. Most people wonβt see the content theyβre posting at first (because nobody follows them) but MANY people will see their replies, and that will lead some to check out their profile, when will get eyes on their content and may even result in shares/reposts and zaps. It takes time, and most people Iβve seen just want to post their song/video/art/article and then never engage back with people. That doesnβt work here.
I like that, it's changed the way i think about online interactions.
On Facebook it was like and share something someone posted.
Then some toxic divisive political argument.
Then someone liked something.
Now you account is suspended for 30 days because you called someone retarded.

Most of your post do fairly well π
This isnβt about me π Most of my posts about zaps arenβt about my posts. Just my observations on Nostrβs βzap cultureβ
I have reverse Carly Simon syndrome I think every note it about you .

Did you ever ask yourself why is that? π€¨

Me after my first contribution

Most of them don't have a second post.
Thatβs true too π€£π€£
First zap is fiat, and then when they get a lightning wallet set up the rest is bitcoin so it's non physical and can be stored inside their head?
