EMFs have been on the main stage thanks to an incredible investigation from @sunlightis.life about the magnetic field exposure from an electrical substation next to the San Francisco 49ers facilities potentially being the reason behind their league leading injury rate.
As someone who has researched the biological impact of EMFs for years now, here are my key findings and thoughts:
• ELF Magnetic Fields have been shown to increase risk of cancer + risk of miscarriage at very low levels (3-4mG)
• In 1990 the EPA recommended ELF mag fields be classified as a “probable carcinogen”, but this was reversed at the last minute
• The Niners have practiced at this facility since the late 80s, but the substation went through a 2000% capacity increase in 2014 when Levi Stadium was built
• Man made electromagnetic fields even at low intensities can interfere (EMI) with normal cellular signaling and lower the Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR)
• Athletic movements are rooted in fascia, which is a collagen-water matrix that has electromagnetic properties such as piezoelectricity and charge transfer
• Since 2014 (year injuries started skyrocketing) our electromagnetic environment as a society has drastically changed (more artificial lights, screen time through the roof, RF-EMF exposure, etc.)
There is likely no way to prove actual causation of an electrical substation’s magnetic field exposure causing an increase in soft tissue injuries given the current body of evidence, however doing investigative work such as Peter Cowan has done opens the possibility of that being real in the future.
It also brings awareness to the overall impact of our electromagnetic environment on our health, which is in my opinion a severely under-discussed topic because it deals in a lot of inconvenient truths.

Modern “energy efficient” low emissivity windows are a large problem for our health because they block out biologically important Near-Infrared (NIR) and Ultraviolet-A (UVA) light. It takes the full spectrum sunlight and distorts it to being very dominant in the visible wavelengths.
This is problematic, because low energy near-infrared light balances out the oxidative response in our cells when exposed to high energy visible (blue/violet) light. A large reason you feel so drained being inside all day is because there is little to no infrared light. We need more warmth, not less in our cold modern world.
