Personally, I treat trading like a business, as if I were an entrepreneur managing my own business, with its income and expenses, net profit, depreciation, etc. I'm aware that there are many different types of traders, and many of them don't consider this aspect, but I must say that the traders I know with consistently great results over years have a similar approach to managing their trading like a business.
