Every year for their birthday, I give my kids an ounce of silver per how old they are, plus 1 more ounce at Christmas. My son turns 5 this year and my daughter turns 2, so they'll be getting 5oz and 2oz respectively for their birthdays, plus 1oz each at Christmas. At Christmas after their 18th birthdays they'll have a total of 190oz.
Being so young, right now my son is just excited about his "treasure" and likes to count it, or make me pretend to be a pirate who's trying to steal it from him so he can beat me up and make me "walk the plank."
But when my kids are old enough I'm going to use it to teach them about living humbly, savings, assets, and hard money. And when they're ready, I'm hoping it'll be the gateway into the hardest money of all, the generational wealth I'm stacking and stewarding for them, BTC. I really look forward to when I can "hand over" the keys.
