MYTH: “Mining will stop after the last Bitcoin is mined.” DEBUNK: No — Bitcoin mining will never stop. Mining has two rewards: 1. Block subsidy (new BTC — ends around year 2140) 2. Transaction fees (paid by users — continues forever) Only the subsidy disappears. The fee market keeps miners running. Why? Because Bitcoin settles global, high-value transactions. People will always pay fees for: • Secure settlement • Finality • Censorship-resistant transactions • Moving large amounts of value across borders Even today, miners already earn a meaningful portion of revenue from fees alone, and that percentage keeps growing each halving. In the end: Bitcoin mining = security. As long as Bitcoin has value, people will pay for that security. Mining doesn’t end. Only the inflation does.
Did you know? On the African continent, there’s a revolutionary Bitcoin app that lets even people without smartphones easily use Bitcoin! This is Machankura, South African slang for “money”). 🌍 Its story: It all started in 2022, when South African developer Kgothatso “Kgotso” Ngako @kgothatso@8333.mobi saw that many people in Africa are excluded from traditional finance—no internet, no apps, but they need simple and reliable tools. He had a flash of inspiration and built this custodial wallet, designed specifically for feature phones, bringing the Bitcoin Lightning Network into remote villages. Now, it’s operating in 9 African countries, helping thousands achieve financial independence! 📱 How does it work? At first, the coolest part is using SMS and USSD (just like dialing a phone code): • Dial *8333# to register a wallet. • Send an SMS to transfer sats (Bitcoin’s smallest unit), no internet required! Imagine using an old Nokia phone to send and receive Bitcoin—zero cost, zero barriers. Learn more: 8333.mobi/ Now it’s upgraded! It supports WhatsApp, letting more people join—whether you’re chatting on WhatsApp or using a basic phone, you can transfer instantly. This isn’t just technological innovation; it’s a bridge that changes destinies! Africa’s Bitcoin revolution begins with a single SMS… What do you think?
