Chicago man Juan Espinoza Martinez faces one count of murder-for-hire, maximum 10 years. The jury deliberated 3 hours.

Trump's speech at Davos this morning
He repeatedly mistook Iceland for Greenland, and mob-boss threatened NATO countries with force if they don't agree to give him the country. This is real. He is quite completely insane.
Trump threatened Canada: "They should be grateful also, but theyβre not. I watched your prime minister yesterday. He wasnβt so grateful. But they should be grateful to us. Canada lives because of the U.S. Remember that, Mark, the next time you make your statements."
Talking about NATO and mistaking Iceland for Greenland (he did repeatedly): "They're not there for us on Iceland, that I can tell you. Our stock market took the first dip yesterday because of Iceland. So Iceland has already cost us a lot of money."
BTW headlines are already saying "Trump rules out force in taking Greenland" but that is not true. Trump just made a series of implicit unmistakable threats of force. He did the mob boss thing again where he makes a ton of threats but then slides in a line about "I'm not doing that" when the whole speech is about him doing that. The media is such a complicit mess.
Trump equated the U.S. with the Nazis: "No nation is in any position to be able to secure Greenland other than the US. We're a great power. Much greater than people even understand. I think they found that out 2 weeks ago in Venezuela. We saw this in World War 2 when Denmark fell to Germany after just 6 hours of fighting."
And just a few Republican Congress members could have stopped all of this long ago. Just a handful. But the U.S. is not their priority.

All U.S. gov accounts on Bsky can be blocked, there are blocklists specifically for that purpose. CBS News links can be blocked everywhere using filters, or you could just stop spreading state propaganda mouthpieces in the first place. If you don't share Fox News, you should treat CBS the same way.
