Trump's national security strategy is out. I haven't read it yet. I opened just the table of contents so far and the unprofessionalism is just dripping off it. #natsec PDF: 📄.pdf
Trying to figure out a gift for a preteen kid who likes to randomly build stuff out of just whatever he can find in the garage, bits of cardboard, wood, plastic, whatever he finds. He usually ends up building play weapons. He doesn't want kits with instructions to make a particular thing, he just likes to make stuff up. I'm thinking a few basic tools in a little tacklebox and a box full of various materials he can cut up and/or glue or screw together. ??? Racking my brain here
Retired LTG Mark Hertling: "a military that abandons its legal and ethical foundations does not protect a nation—it endangers it. A military that trades the Constitution for personal loyalty ceases to be American. And a military that fails to investigate serious allegations of unlawful conduct invites tragedy—strategic, moral, and human." #military #DOD

Republican Senator Mike Rounds said Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a call to senators, confirmed the so-called 28-point “peace plan” was actually a Russian wishlist and is “not the administration’s position”. Nor is there any threat to cut off weapons or intelligence to Ukraine.
The plan was leaked by the Russians and no one in America’s historically inept administration knew what anyone else was doing so people started getting behind it because they thought it was official policy.
Putin totally played the US, knowing full well he was up against incompetents and idiots.
So, the question is, did Trump know it was a Russian wishlist when he was pushing Ukraine to accept it by Thanksgiving? Or does he know absolutely nothing about anything going on in the entire administration and just spouts whatever nonsense people tell him?
"Luke Harding of The Guardian noted that the plan appears to have been translated from Russian, as many of the phrases in the text read naturally in that language but are awkward and clunky in English.
The plan is a Russian wish list." #Ukraine

Before the midterms of 1866, President Andrew Johnson called his congressional opponents traitors and said they should be hanged.
Voters were so profoundly moved by his words... that they gave his opponents a supermajority in Congress, and the nation got the Fourteenth Amendment.
I just opened an article on some website that was asking me to confirm acceptance of surveillance by their 964 partners. I closed the site and didn't read the article, but does that really mean my data wasn't already sent to their 964 partners? 😡
Fuck that! The only wall America needs is one separating the government from religion!
"The Freedom From Religion Foundation is calling for transparency and accountability following revelations that the Trump administration is planning a series of taxpayer-supported Christian nationalist “revival” events tied to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence."

"A federal jury found the county and the Sheriff's Office violated the Constitutional rights of 674 people. The class action lawsuit was filed after the people were held in county jails between 2016 and 2018. They were kept for ICE even though they posted bail."
