Good Morning Nostriches! It was another earlier (slightly than I like) wake up. It's not the darkness and quiet that I didn't appreciate; it was the 70lb neighbor's dog jumping up onto the be, on me directly...that awakened me 🤦🏻‍♂️ But hey...I'm not a complainer 🤣 I'm grateful for the Lord waking me how He saw fit! Besides an impromptu nap I'm planning to take today; I've got a book I'm editing for a client with a publish deadline of EOM. So after I take my son to basketball camp, take a nap...probably eat...I'll dive into work mode. I know I haven't been as active on NOSTR the last couple of weeks... Tuesday was "move uncle across the state" day to live near us since his wife's passing a few months ago. And that along side serving clients and leading the FDI Bible Study; I've sort of not had much free time and have prioritized other relationships recently. That being said, and while I do publish articles, I'm toying with the idea of starting a sometimes-weekly leadership newsletter. Perhaps: Above The Line Leader Insights Is that something you'd be interested in?
Good Morning Nostriches! You are all Leaders. Remember, #leadership isn’t a title. It’s relationships. And relationships require us to choose responsibility when others will not. NOSTR, Bitcoin, and sovereignty is a responsibility we must embrace. That’s all (for now). Go rock Monday! #GM
For my Christian Leaders out there on this Saturday Morning! 1 Peter 2:9 (HCSB): “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” While Jesus is the last priest, I can do better living as His “royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9)—interceding, worshiping, reflecting God’s heart. It’s more than prayers or acts. It’s a daily calling. We’re not perfect. Thank God for Jesus! Ephesians 4:22–24 (HCSB): 22 Put off your old self, corrupted by deceitful desires; 23 Be renewed in your mind; 24 Put on the new self, created in God’s likeness. Am I truly living that royal priesthood? I’ve got far to go. I can choose better—steward my mind, spirit, leadership. Amen. ==== Your Faith-Fueled Move Pause today. Anyone got a Strike referral code for me? #asknostr
Are there any words you try to avoid using? One for me is "desperately". I hear people use it all the time, "oh I desperately want to go there / do that / reach this goal..." I've tried to train myself to replace desperately with the word fervent. It might seem like a small change, after all what's a synonym amongst friends 😉 But for me, I just find "fervent" to communicate the heart in a, shall I say holier way? Desperate exudes a negativity that I'd rather not be associated with. A hopelessness that I'm not aligned with. A despair... Whereas "fervent" indicates intentionality, desire, passion, connectedness...relationship with that which I am seeking. And since leadership = relationships, I'd rather rise to fervency than fall to being desperate. What's a word you avoid using?
