Punt on Don L'emon all day long, but I don't think he was broadcasting on airwaves regulated by the FCC. Sooooo... Shut the fuck up fed. The FCC has never had any regulatory power over anything "broadcast" on any part of the internet, and today is not the day to allow such an overreach of power.

By the way, any news story that talks about how many magazines or bullets the guy had on him is an enemy of the second amendment. Guy should have had a bandolier of 30 round mags and grenades and grape shot and cannon shells. His crime is obstructing and mobbing the police. Not having bullets on him, or loaded in his gun, or chambered, or the gun hidden or in plain sight, or unregistered, or whatever bullshit the feds have invented to strip you of your 2A.

The same way that students are taught to calculate what their theoretical yield should be in chemistry, CS students should be taught te calculato the theoretical number of cycles any particular operation needs to perform, and then treat getting close to that as seriously as chemists do. Sometimes your performance will be low because of all the incidental crap you have to take care of. But for a lot of things we do on computers there just isn't any excuse.
